Vee is an experienced educator with anzuk and has worked with anzuk in our OSHC team for a number of years. This is her experience so far…
I was motivated to work in OSHC because I enjoy socializing and conversing with school aged children, meeting new educators and travelling to all the different services.
The most rewarding aspect of working in OSHC is going to all the different services, sharing ideas, activities and experiences and implementing them with the children and educators.
Whilst working in OSHC, I discovered and enhanced my skills and abilities, such as:
· Planning and implementing activities and experiences.
· Conducting myself in a professional manner when speaking with educators, parents and children.
· Defusing situations amongst children appropriately.
· Performing my Duty of Care requirements according to the policies and procedures.
For someone who is considering a career in OSHC, I would suggest they should try a couple of shifts for themselves, to see whether they enjoy working with OSHC, as much as I do.
I heard about ANZUK about 4 years ago when I was completing my Education Support course. A few of the laddies applied and received positions with ANZUK.
I found the registration process with ANZUK very user friendly and did not have any issues with the sign up process.
Working with ANZUK has been extremely rewarding. I have been introduced to a wonderful school where I work regularly with during vacation care.
I would certainly recommend ANZUK because the staff are very professional and friendly to work with. You can pick your own days and hours to work, that best suits your lifestyle. The company itself is family based and they even send personal texts on your birthday.
