I started my journey in education in the states in 2008, I spent three summers in Philly and it changed my life. Back then I never would have thought it would lead me to working in education. Fast forward 9 years and here I am, working as an Education Recruitment Consultant for anzuk.
How did I join the anzuk family? That one is easy to answer, I love relationships, and relationships are one of anzuk’s core values!
Before I started my journey with anzuk I was a Regional Manager for a child care company. The one part I loved about this job was the relationships I built with my team but also with the schools that I worked with.
When I decided I needed new challenge the one thing I knew I was looking for in a job was to work for a company who pride themselves on relationships both internally and with everyone they work with externally. I started looking for positions that had the word relationships in it and anzuk popped up. I had heard about anzuk through other educators but didn’t really know too much about them. I thought why not apply and see what happens!
I put together my CV and applied, after two interviews, a couple of jokes and a tour of the office I knew this was the place for me. The office had an energy and you could clearly see these people all love education and the job that they do! I took the leap of faith and everything that I was told through the interview process was true.
We build lasting relationships with all our educators and schools and this is how my journey started with anzuk!
